Per la genesi dell’Ars Riuipullensis, un commento inedito al De partibus orationis di Donato

L’Ars Riuipullensis è un commento di età carolingia all’Ars grammatica di Donato incentrato sullo studio delle partes orationis. L’articolo si compone di due sezioni: nella prima vengono analizzati i testimoni dell’opera e se ne stabiliscono i rapporti di parentela da un punto di vista testuale e storico; nella seconda, invece, attraverso l’esame di alcuni passi e il confronto con le fonti dell’anonimo autore e con i testi che può aver avuto a sua disposizione, vengono formulate alcune ipotesi a proposito dell’epoca e del luogo di composizione del manuale.

Ars Riuipullensis is a comment dating back to the Carolingian Age on the Ars grammatica by Donatus, focusing on the study of partes orationis. The article is made of two sections: on the one hand, the first part includes the analysis of the work’s witnesses and the acknowledgement of their relationships from a textual and historical point of view; on the other hand, the second part envisages, thanks to the examination of some passages and the comparison with the sources of the anonymous author and with the texts that he might have had available, the formulation of some hypotheses about the time and place of composition of the textbook.
